Ex-Voto Biography
It’s the early 1980s in Los Angeles, where a brooding punk offshoot began to emerge known as death rock. It was different chan its punk predecessor, darker in sound and style. One of the pioneering bands to truly embody this sound and style was Ex-Voto.
The Neuro Farm is a Washington DC-based darkwave gothic rock band that combines haunting vocal harmonies with soaring violin melodies, driving rhythm guitar, and ethereal sonic textures. Drawing on influences such as Joy Division, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sigur Ros, Chelsea Wolfe, Portishead, and Rammstein, their music has been praised for its hauntingly beautiful sound.
In the beginning of 2020 the idea was born to create a band-project continuing the tradition of New German Death Art / Neue Deutsche Todeskunst, what was rising in the end of the 1980s – beginning of 1990s, specially in southern Germany.
A German and a Greek artist came together and founded SCHATTEN MUSE.
