ZWAREMACHINE RETURN AS A TRIO AND ANNOUNCE A NEW ALBUM

Band links

With recent European gigs in October, the band has returned to performing live as a trio for the first time since their 2019 set at the Autumn Moon Festival in Hameln, Germany. After 3 years of passing, they show a fierce determination to keep the heavy machine rolling and have proven that on stage.

The trio of Mach FoX (vocals/synth/programming), Dbot (bass/vocals), Dein Officer (drum/percussion) have announced that with a solid lineup and sonic goals discussed, the band will begin recording new songs for a 2023 full-length release. The recording will be done in the U.S. and Netherlands and will be the band’s 3rd full-length album following “Conquest 3000” released in July 2021, and the debut “Be A Light”, which came out in April 2018.

As a special thank you to the bands, fans and friends that made it to these recent Zwaremachine performances and a treat for those who could not make it, we have made this “behind the scenes” style mini-documentary to share.

MACH FOX RELEASES VIDEOLOGICO AND ANNOUNCES CD RELEASE SHOW

In the past 3 years Mach FoX has been active releasing new solo and collaboration music which is not genre specific but still dwells in the darker music styles. The Hollow Moons EP was released December 2021 and was mainly comprised of outtakes from the Zwaremachine – Conquest 3000 album session which were writing collaborations with Zwaremachine bassist Dbot. Another recent collaboration between Mach FoX and Craig Saunders is Fox Nova Project and the full length “PredatorPrey” was released on CD/digital on September 16th 2022.

The most recent Mach FoX release is VideoLogico which was released September 16th 2022. This release was recorded during a live performance and released mainly as instrumental versions described as “electro-industrial wrapped in a cyber skin”. The choice was made to release the VideoLogico tracks as initially recorded with very little vocals or samples and then follow that release up with alternative mixes with additional vocal collaborations featuring J-C of Vuduvox and Swedish singer Maybeeh and also have remixes by Two Phase U, Psychosomatik, Hergoth, Planetdamage and many more. These will be released digitally and featured on select compilations in 2023.

The Mach FoX VideoLogico CD release show will be on Nov. 16th at the Red Sea Bar in his home town of Minneapolis, MN. USA. These live sets performances feature the album tracks remixed and effected live so that no two performances can be the same with the amount of improvisation being brought into the songs. Since he was able to fill this special night with old and new friends you can be assured the electronic performances by Kosher Spear, Ebe404 and Magenta Vice should not be missed.

Fractal Geometry Mpls. supports and hosts electronic/experimental events in the Twin Cities and is presenting this CD release event. Since the VideoLogico album was recorded live during Mach FoX’s audiovisual set at the past April Fractal Geometry Mpls. event he says he is looking forward to sharing this evening with his friends who inspired the album.

This will be the second VideoLogico CD release show following the October 14th European release show at Cafe Bluff in the Netherlands. Mach FoX – VideoLogico is available on CD/digital from Phage Tapes.

Can you help us?

Here at Darker Side of Music, we aim to bring Artists to more people giving them as much exposure as possible. We also are independent and are in no way supported by any Label.

Artists today have struggled to keep their art going for a long time, especially in the genres that we love and try to help. We are also in the same boat. We fight to survive if you use our site in any way and feel you can help us with the high running costs. Please think about supporting us so we can continue to help those artists that give us incredible enjoyment from what they create.

We all have something in common our love of music.
