In Part 1 of “The beautiful abandoned buildings of Malta“, We explored the old Holiday Inn located at Fort Cambridge Sliema. In Part 2 we will be looking at the Festival, Mellieha a small resort built just beneath the red Tower on a hillside made of clay. This lead to severe cracking and abandonment of this stunningly located building.
The walls are terribly parting and crumbling and the walls are filled with graffiti some of which are very artistic. The rooms, showers and stair cases are all visible yet in a very dangerous condition with nature trying to reclaim the majority of the building. A careful walk onto the front of the rooms reveals the stunning views that guests would have enjoyed.
This is a very dangerous location with holes in the floors and vast crack that are sure to expand with time. We hope you enjoy the photographs from this beautiful location.
