You do not have to wonder if you will enjoy the next track because every track is perfect on this album, and they are varied too.
Whether consciously or not, there are influences that I can hear from hints of T-Rex, Ramstein, Sparks, and M. Manson, it is all there but all done uniquely to PiG.
“The Merciless Light” is an album that is just so fantastic and is an absolute joy to listen to in any order. Please put it on loud, make sure it is heard everywhere; it is sent to destroy silence with such power in all aspects, vocals, melodies and drumbeats.
I have heard and reviewed many albums this year, many I felt had been one of the best, but this one has surpassed my expectations.
INTENSE & DARK
Out today is the new album by PIG entitled "The Merciless Light," on Metropolis Records. Available on CD along with all streaming and digital platforms, the album features "Tarantula" which also has a brand new video. "The Merciless Light" features long time accomplices En Esch, Steve White, Watts as well as Jim Davies of The Prodigy and Pitchshifter. Raymond Watts aka PIG, has enjoyed a varied career since starting out as a pioneer member of the mid-1980’s industrial rock scene. He has toured with KMFDM (he was a member of the band in their early days), Nine Inch Nails and Einstürzende Neubauten, written music for fashion icons like Chloe, Marios Schwab, Halston and The Row, as well as creating the sound design for the exhibition 'Punk: Chaos to Couture' at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Heute erscheint das neue Album von PIG mit dem Titel "The Merciless Light" auf Metropolis Records. Das Album ist zusammen mit allen Streaming- und digitalen Plattformen auf CD erhältlich und enthält "Tarantula", das auch ein brandneues Video hat. "The Merciless Light" bietet langjährige Komplizen En Esch, Steve White, Watts sowie Jim Davies von The Prodigy und Pitchshifter. Raymond Watts alias PIG, hat seit seinem Start als Pioniermitglied der Industrial-Rock-Szene Mitte der 1980er Jahre eine abwechslungsreiche Karriere genossen. Er tourte mit KMFDM (er war in ihren frühen Tagen Mitglied der Band), Nine Inch Nails und Einstürzende Neubauten, schrieb Musik für Modeikonen wie Chloe, Marios Schwab, Halston und The Row und schuf das Sounddesign für die Ausstellung "Punk: Chaos to Couture" im Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
