The lyrical genius in the writing is so clear with the vocals so perfect matching the almost battle cry marches of the melodies. The subtle harmonies are also so perfect.
Do not underestimate the perfection behind this album it might not be to everyones taste but it is pretty on near perfect.
The last time I heard an album that emotionally hits me like this was
Joy Division – Closer.
The album is absolutely a colossus of mesmerising songs.

Nihilist Notes (And the Perpetual Quest 4 Meaning in Nothing) is the fourth full-length album by Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio on the German label Out of Line to which they signed in 2010 following the demise of Swedish cult label Cold Meat Industry.
Preceded by the 4 track mini-album “La Fleur du Mal” in March, “Nihilist Notes” takes multiple steps in directions that appear to move away from the more melodic aspects of the highly acclaimed full-length album “Let’s Play [Two Girls & a Goat] from 2019. “Nihilist Notes” is dark, oppressive, and raw. It’s a deceleration of war orchestrated by drums and horns rather than guitars and pianos as we are used to. The sound is rather more martial than folk, but still clearly Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio. The new album merges the crudeness of the past, such as “Conquest Love & Self-Perseverance”, with the refinement and perfection of the present. It becomes a convergence of both past and present into a perfect symbiosis of what’s to come.
“Nihilist Notes” will be released on May 20th as CD Digipak & on cassette (in red incl. a pencil). However, the highlight is the deluxe wooden box set, strictly limited to 444 pieces, which, in addition to the CD, also exclusively includes the album on 10″ vinyl and 5 collector’s coins with a noble case.
3 Jahre nach ihrem letzten Album melden sich Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio mit einem neuen Album zurück: “Nihilist Notes (And the Perpetual Quest 4 Meaning in Nothing)”.
Mit der bereits im März veröffentlichten 4-Track EP ‘La Fleur du Mal’, entfernt sich “Nihilist Notes” Stück für Stück von den melodischeren Aspekten des hochgelobten Albums ‘Let’s Play [Two Girls & a Goat]’ aus dem Jahr 2019. “Nihilist Notes” ist dunkel, bedrückend und rau. Düstere Verse und dystopische Metaphern, orchestriert von Trommeln und Hörnern statt Gitarren und Klavieren, wie wir es bisher gewohnt waren. Der Sound ist eher martialisch als Folk, aber dennoch noch eindeutig Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio. Das neue Album bildet eine glanzvolle Einheit aus der Rohheit der Vergangenheit, wie “Conquest Love & Self-Perseverance”, und der Raffinesse und Perfektion der Gegenwart. Ein Verschmelzen von Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, welche zu einer perfekten Symbiose werden. “Nihilist Notes” erscheint am 20.05.2022 als CD Digipak und auf Kassette. Das Highlight ist das auf 444 Stück streng limitierte Deluxe Holzbox-Set, welches neben der CD auch exklusiv das Album auf 10″ Vinyl sowie 5 Sammler Münzen mit edlem Etui beinhaltet.
