OUTSTANDING RELEASE

“Stained Glass”, the new album from DICHRO is an unusual sounding album on first listen and I really was not sure if I liked it or not.  Now when I say strange it is because the band have very unique vocals infused with the very catchy beats and flowing melodies.  I never take a release on first listen so after listening again it had me hooked.  Everything fits together in unusual yet perfect way.

The unique vocal style reels you in and has you completely hooked.  You soon realise that the music and vocals are just perfect.

I absolutely love this album, it’s an album I can honestly say I can listen to over and over again and not get bored.  The style reminds me of the 80s band Indians In Moscow (known for Naughty Miranda).

Each track is perfectly  composed  and has its own very addictive melody and the vocals are so impressive.

How would I describe this band and album, post-punk, dark wave with a unique twist of 80s synth at times.

I would highly recommend this album to anyone who wants something a little different, its wet worth a listen and listen you will.

The actually could be one of my top albums of the year.

About

Darkwave band, DICHRO has just unveiled their innovative and eclectic new release, Stained Glass via Distortion Productions.

Four years in the making, Stained Glass is far from a casual listen. Much like their live performances, the album is often described as “a ride”—one that takes the listener through the annals of recent and distant history, right into a potentially dystopian future. The band masterfully blends heavy synth riffs with unexpected instruments such as the resonator guitar and even the banjo, crafting a distinctive sound that remains fresh and never repetitive.

The tracks on Stained Glass explore a spectrum of moods and themes—from unbridled rage against the machine to thoughtful meditations on the future, past mistakes, and the ideals we strive for in the days ahead. Yet, the album is not without moments of reprieve from the anger and intense examinations of reality versus fear-driven conspiracy theories. Tracks like “Dinner Du Jour,” “Scratch,” and “Mercy” envelop listeners in moody, melodic daydreams and down-to-earth visions of hope.

Stained Glass is available on CD via Distortion Productions and on all major digital platforms everywhere!
