Los Angeles-based dark electronic rock band, AL1CE has just unveiled their new video & single, "Time".
"Time" is a reflection of AL1CE's writing period during the pandemic; dark moments of loss, grief and fear balanced by punctuated moments of light through connections between band members, their loved ones, their communities and through their creativity. AL1CE had found inspiration in the silence, stars, sand, and expansiveness in what felt like a timeless space. As Tash Cox states, "I remember the feeling of Time itself feeling so expanded as we all lay in stasis, waiting to know what the next day would bring."
Time is its own element and force. It can feel so fast or slow, depending on the moment. But it's always a relentless presence. Through our experience of Time, it is the small moments of connection that are so meaningful to us. Through the song and video, AL1CE hopes to honor Time and the moments of sweetness that can still be found in all the shadows and crevices along our human journey.
"Time" is available now as a single on all digital platforms including Bandcamp. The track will appear on the forthcoming full-length release, So Below.

"Zeit" ist ein Spiegelbild der Schreibzeit von AL1CE während der Pandemie; dunkle Momente des Verlustes, der Trauer und der Angst, die durch unterbrochene Momente des Lichts durch Verbindungen zwischen Bandmitgliedern, ihren Lieben, ihren Gemeinschaften und durch ihre Kreativität ausgeglichen werden. AL1CE hatte Inspiration in der Stille, den Sternen, dem Sand und der Weite in einem, was sich wie ein zeitloser Raum anfühlte, gefunden. Wie Tash Cox sagt: "Ich erinnere mich an das Gefühl, dass sich die Zeit selbst so erweitert anfühlte, als wir alle in Stasis lagen und darauf warteten zu wissen, was der nächste Tag bringen würde."

AL1CE blends elements of electronic, dark wave, and rock (think Daft Punk, the Cure, and Pink Floyd), with surrealistic and fantastic imagery, to create a dreamy, intimate, dark yet cathartic experience for fans. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland’s concept of embarking on a journey “through the looking glass”, AL1CE’s music explores universal themes of the sacred feminine and masculine, yin and yang, challenges and transcendence... the Unity of Opposites.

Based in Los Angeles, AL1CE prides itself on a dynamic & immersive live experience. Highlights include headlining the Anime Expo Convention (an international anime festival, with over 100k yearly attendants), representing the U.S. State Department as cultural envoys to Uzbekistan and Algeria, performing annually at the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball (North America’s largest masked event), and extensive touring throughout North America.
