krate – it’s the hope that kills you
INCREDIBLY ATMOSPHERIC AND VERY VERY DARK
Krate, their new EP, is an absolute masterpiece of incredibly atmospheric and very dark electro-industrial music that envelops you in its almighty grasp.

The journey it takes you is very, very dark but is driven by an incredible beat that is also enchanting in that it locks you in, and you cannot get out. It will steer your course.

The vocals and lyrics on “The Needle” are haunting and could be the most fantastic soundtrack to any Clive Barker horror film. The effects used alongside the immersive beat add so much to this track. I believe this track is one of the best I have heard for many years.

“But Us” is a different atmosphere. It is far more dreamy but is perfect in every way possible.

I am excited to hear a full album to go along with this, as I am sure it will be one of the greatest albums this year.

Krate and friends have pulled off such a fantastic EP, so please do yourselves a favour and add this to your playlist, collections, etc., as it needs to be heard and appreciated for the immense talent at work here.

BEYOND DARK

Electro-industrial band Krate is back and once again teams up with a number of incredible talents on their fourth endeavour, It's The Hope That Kills You.

The general theme of this release is hopelessness. No matter how hard you try, in the end, nothing else matters as all matter is destined to die. Your prayers will be lost while you watch the horizon sink. There is no one to blame but us. We reach for the needle and ask ourselves one last time, "Where do we go from here?" Absolutely nowhere.

Songs like the hard-hitting title track featuring Anatoly Grinberg (Dead Voices On Air) & drummer Dan Milligan (The Joy Thieves). Other tracks feature members of Bow Ever Down, Slighter, Liquid Black Goo and Numbered Men.

Five tracks of electro-industrial spanning the full spectrum of what this subgenre encompasses; from nightmarish beat-driven to heavy orchestral/industrial. The Hope That Kills You is available now on all digital platforms including Bandcamp

Die elektroindustrielle Band Krate ist zurück und verbündet sich erneut mit einer Reihe unglaublicher Talente bei ihrem vierten Unterfangen, It's The Hope That Kills You.

Absolut nirgendwo.

Songs wie der knallharte Titeltrack mit Anatoly Grinberg (Dead Voices On Air) und Schlagzeuger Dan Milligan (The Joy Thieves). Weitere Tracks zeigen Mitglieder von Bow Ever Down, Slighter, Liquid Black Goo und Numbered Men.

Fünf elektroindustrielle Tracks, die sich über das gesamte Spektrum dessen erstrecken, was dieses Subgenre umfasst; von albtraumhaftem Beat-getrieben bis hin zu schwerem Orchester/Industriell. The Hope That Kills You ist jetzt auf allen digitalen Plattformen verfügbar, einschließlich Bandcamp

Can you help us?

Here at Darker Side of Music, we aim to bring Artists to more people giving them as much exposure as possible. We also are independent and are in no way supported by any Label.

Artists today have struggled to keep their art going for a long time, especially in the genres that we love and try to help. We are also in the same boat. We fight to survive if you use our site in any way and feel you can help us with the high running costs. Please think about supporting us so we can continue to help those artists that give us incredible enjoyment from what they create.

We all have something in common our love of music.
