French darkwave project, Distance H has just unveiled their debut single, "Bitch 16". The track is made in collaboration with Ophelia from Saigon Blue Rain and will appear on Distance H's forthcoming EP, Intimacy.
"Bitch 16" is in some ways opposed to Sweet 16 and its form of happy, carefree transition. When sweetness gives way to brutality; when detachment gives way to obsession, when desire gives way to disgust.
It is a frontal and direct title, that a more distant, disconnected and almost salutary passage does not manage to soothe.
"Bitch 16" is available NOW on all digital platforms.
Das französische Darkwave-Projekt Distance H hat gerade ihre Debütsingle "Bitch 16" enthüllt. Der Track wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit Ophelia von Saigon Blue Rain erstellt und wird auf der kommenden EP Intimacy von Distance H erscheinen.
"Bitch 16" steht in gewisser Weise im Gegensatz zu Sweet 16 und seiner Form eines glücklichen, unbeschwerten Übergangs. Wenn Süße Brutalität weicht; wenn Loslösung der Besessenheit weicht, wenn das Verlangen dem Ekel weicht.
Es ist ein frontaler und direkter Titel, dass eine weiter entfernte, getrennte und fast heilsame Passage es nicht schafft, zu beruhigen.

Distance H is the project created by the Parisian producer ManuH and realised in collaboration with female artists to whom he gives voice and entrusts the vocals being one with his dark and melancholic style.
His musical universe finds its sources in a post-punk, dark wave, cold wave, ethereal, and shoegaze, sometimes borrowing some more electronic sounds. His debut EP, Intimacy will be released in 2022. He invites female singers to express the distances they wish to take from their experiences, those that are self-imposed, liberating, or they would like to avoid. It is also the distance they allow themselves from their existing projects and worlds.
Distance H ist das Projekt, das vom Pariser Produzenten ManuH erstellt und in Zusammenarbeit mit Künstlerinnen realisiert wurde, denen er eine Stimme gibt und den Gesang mit seinem dunklen und melancholischen Stil anvertraut.
Sein musikalisches Universum findet seine Quellen in einem Post-Punk, einer dunklen Welle, einer kalten Welle, einem ätherischen und einem Schuhblick und leiht sich manchmal einige weitere elektronische Klänge aus. Seine Debüt-EP Intimacy wird 2022 veröffentlicht. Er lädt Sängerinnen ein, die Entfernungen auszudrücken, die sie aus ihren Erfahrungen nehmen möchten, diejenigen, die selbst auferlegt, befreiend sind oder vermeiden möchten. Es ist auch die Entfernung, die sie sich von ihren bestehenden Projekten und Welten erlauben.
