Microwaved – The Dead Shall Walk
masterpiece of musical variety
The newest album from Microwaved, “The Dead Shall Walk,” is a masterpiece of musical variety.

With 10 unique tracks boasting vocalists from a plethora of bands, there’s something for music lovers across the entire spectrum of genres.

Whether it be D&B, punk/gothic, dark metal, future pop, or synth—it’s all here on this record.

My favourite is “Burn It Down” (Featuring Geoff Saavedra of Titanosaur). This song packs an intense punch with its robust vocals and riveting drums, racing your heart.

Each track on this album is masterfully crafted and could stand on its merit as a single.

2023 has been a standout year for me musically, and this album will surely make my end-of-year top ten without question.

All alternative music fans should listen to this one—I guarantee you won’t regret it.

MASTERFUL

In 2010 Microwaved began its journey into the world's consciousness via the mind of Gabe Wilkinson. Wilkinson had been playing for many years in bands including Lintscreen, Smakdab, Experimental Mind Therapy and Eddie Buzzard, playing stages throughout the Midwest and performing alongside such artists as Slipknot, American Head Charge, Deadfront, Combichrist, Cattle Decapitation, Hate Dept., Sister Machine Gun, Mudvayne, Anyone, The Workhorse Movement, The Step Kings and more regional and national acts.

Wilkinson got the inspiration to name his project Microwaved after the Pitchshifter song of the same name. The song perfectly summed up Gabe’s take on society at the time.

In 2022 Microwaved signed to Produkt 42 out of Colorado to expand his reach to a wider audience.

With the release of “The Dead Shall Walk” in February 2023, Wilkinson decided to bring Microwaved back to the stage for the first time since opening for Combichrist at Wooly’s in Des Moines, Iowa. Now, he is gathering like-minded musicians to bring his vision to life.

Microwaved has collaborated with and remixed for a diverse roster of artists from many genres. A partial list of collaborators and remixes includes Eva X, 30 Seconds of Shame, Bow Ever Down, Derision Cult, Stiff Valentine, Normoria, Project .44, Slighter, Out Out, Hate Dept., Thunder S Hawk, Titanosaur, Produkt, GoFight, Attrition, Bellhead and more.

Microwaved will continue to produce music and put out the best he absolutely can. Sharing his vision of love, death, sex, addiction, horror and loss.
